The mission of the International Continuity Oversight Board is to establish consistency in the continuity profession by providing a central oversight authority that audits and evaluates continuity certification programs and provides certification that their processes meet the Board criteria of consistency.

The Board provides the same service for higher education institutions offering degree or certificate programs.

Objectives:

1. Identify and track all public and private business continuity accreditation programs

2. Establish and maintain a forum for enhancing the professional continuity community by stimulating the open exchange of ideas and processes.

3. Develop methodology for identifying business continuity certification programs

4. Develop a tool to allow all ICOB members to post results to comprehensive matrix of certifications and credentials available

We link the main continuity organizations like DRII, ACP and BCI,

As a clearing house we provide regular update to accrediitation activities of the Department of Homeland Security and private sector initiatiaves such as the Sloan Commission.
